Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 19, 2026
1. Overview
ThriftyFit ("we", "us", or "our") operates a community-driven grocery price comparison, recipe, and fitness planning platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our services you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information: first name, last name, email address, and phone number, collected when you sign up as a Lead.
- Search & location data: the address or zip code you enter to find nearby stores. We geocode it server-side to return local results and do not retain it beyond your session unless you save it to your account.
- Lists, recipes, and plans: grocery lists, saved recipes, fitness profiles, and meal logs you create.
- Community price submissions: item names, store names, and prices you submit to help other shoppers.
- Usage data: aggregated, anonymized analytics about how features are used to improve the product.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide price comparisons, recipes, fitness plans, and daily reports.
- To send transactional emails (signup confirmation, newsletters you opt into, and account notices).
- To improve features, fix issues, and prevent fraud or abuse.
4. How We Share Information
We share data only as needed to operate the service: with our email provider to deliver messages, and as required by law. We never sell your personal information. Community-submitted prices are shared publicly with other users in an identifiable-by-store format.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Price submissions may be retained as community data even after account deletion.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of marketing emails. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transmission and restricted access. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.
8. Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
