1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ThriftyFit (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By signing up, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information at signup and to update it if it changes.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

• Premium features are offered through a subscription billed on a recurring basis until cancelled.
• Payments are processed by Base44 Payments. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your selected payment method.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled at our discretion in line with applicable law. Contact us to request one.

5. Free Trial

New users may receive a limited free trial of premium features. The trial expires automatically; no charge is made unless you choose to subscribe. We may show reminders before your trial ends.

6. Referral Program

• Eligible users can earn a commission (currently 30% of subscription revenue) for referrals who become paying subscribers.
• Commissions are paid to your connected Stripe Connect Express account after a holding period (currently 10 days) from the related payment.
• Payouts depend on available balance and successful transfers; failed or reversed payments void the associated commission.
• You must not refer yourself, create fraudulent accounts, or use deceptive promotion. We may withhold or claw back commissions earned through abuse.
• You are responsible for any tax obligations arising from commissions you earn.

7. Community-Submitted Content

Prices and other data submitted by users are community contributions. We do not guarantee their accuracy and you should always verify prices at the store. You grant us a royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute content you submit. You must not submit content that is false, unlawful, or infringes others' rights.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including: automating or scraping it, interfering with its operation, attempting to access data you are not authorized to access, reverse-engineering the platform, or using it for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.

9. Disclaimers

The Service — including prices, nutrition estimates, recipes, and fitness plans generated with AI assistance — is provided for informational purposes only and is not professional medical, nutritional, or financial advice. Always verify store prices on-site. Consult a qualified professional before starting any diet or exercise program. We provide the Service "as is" without warranties of any kind.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ThriftyFit and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any reliance on prices, recipes, plans, or referrals.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with notice where appropriate.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
